Community Guidelines

This English translation is provided for convenience. The legally binding rules live in our Terms of Service; in case of discrepancies the German version of these guidelines at /community-guidelines prevails.
1. Why these rules exist
1Club only works if everyone shows up respectful, reliable, and honest. These guidelines spell out — in plain language — what we expect of each other as players, organisers, and community members. Takes a minute to read.
The legally binding rules live in our Terms of Service (especially section 7, "Code of Conduct") and our Privacy Policy. This page is the human translation.
2. Be respectful
Sport brings together people who might otherwise never meet — beginners, pros, neighbours, people from all over the world. Treat everyone the way you'd want to be treated.
- No harassment, no threats, no hate speech.
- No discrimination based on background, gender, sexual orientation, religion, appearance, or skill level.
- No insults or slurs — not in chat, not in your profile, not at the venue.
- Be patient with beginners. Everyone played for the first time once.
3. Show up — or cancel in time
A booking is a commitment. Other players are counting on you to show up — for small games, a single no-show can cancel the match.
- If you can't make it, cancel before the organiser's cutoff. You'll get a refund and someone on the waitlist takes your spot.
- Sick, injured, emergency? Message the organiser in the game chat — we review reported no-shows fairly.
- Repeated no-shows trigger a temporary booking pause, during which you can't join new games. Details in section 5 of the Terms.
4. One person, one account
- Use your real name, or at least a recognisable display name.
- Upload a profile photo where you're identifiable — no memes, no empty avatars.
- No fake accounts, no impersonation, no second accounts to dodge a ban.
5. Keep the chat clean
Game chats exist to organise the game: who's bringing the ball, where we meet, are we full.
- No spam, no commercial DMs, no advertising other platforms.
- No NSFW images, no illegal content, no harassment in private messages.
- Use the photo feature to share moments from the game — not for promotion or provocation.
6. You're 16 or older
The minimum age for a 1Club account is 16. Misrepresenting your age results in account closure.
7. Reporting & blocking
If something or someone feels off, abusive, or against these rules: report it. We take every report seriously.
- Report a message: long-press a chat message → "Report".
- Report or block a profile: open the profile → menu icon (top right).
- Report a game or community: open detail view → menu → "Report".
- We respond to reports within 24 hours and may remove content without warning if it violates these guidelines or the Terms.
If you or others are in immediate danger: call the police (133 in Austria) or the emergency number (112) first, then let us know at office@1club.at.
8. What happens if you break the rules
Depending on the severity, we may:
- Issue a warning (e.g. for a one-off inappropriate tone).
- Remove content (messages, images, profile pictures, games, communities).
- Apply a temporary booking ban, during which you can't join new games.
- Permanently close the account — for severe or repeated violations, or when behaviour endangers other users.
- Report illegal conduct (threats, discrimination, sexual harassment, fraud) to the relevant authorities.
The legal basis for these actions lives in sections 7 and 2.4 of the Terms.
